LA Construction Consultants · Getting Ready For Ads

The marketing plan →
We are close, and I want to fix five things before we spend your money Every point below has a plain English explanation under it

Your call five quick answers and we can start

1. Which name do the ads run under, DTAG INC now, or wait for the DBA?
The state licence board has licence 1061967 recorded under DTAG INC, with no second trading name on file. An advert has to carry the exact name the licence is under. So we either run adverts as DTAG INC and start this week, or we file the DBA with the board first and wait for it to appear.
Either way works. Starting as DTAG INC lets us go this week, and we can file the DBA at the same time.
2. Are you happy for the Facebook page name to match?
Your page name is printed at the top of every advert, right above the words. So the page name counts as part of the advert. Changing only the advert text would leave the two disagreeing.
Keeps everything consistent with whichever name you pick in question 1.
3. Is the card on your Meta account still good, and is $120 total alright for the first test?
You pay the advert bill directly to Facebook, we never touch it. $120 is the whole test, not per day. We will set it so it stops itself at $120 and cannot run over.
Buys a real answer on whether the machine catches and reports a lead properly.
4. Can we send a test enquiry right now, while we are on the call?
When someone fills in your form, an email is supposed to land with you within seconds. We want to watch one arrive on your phone before we pay for any traffic, and check it is not going to junk.
Thirty seconds and we know your alerts are working before real leads arrive.
5. How many jobs a month can you comfortably take, and who is following up the 22 open quotes?
There are 22 people holding quotes from you right now, worth about $3.54M. They already asked you for a price. That is warmer than anyone an advert will find, and it costs nothing.
Likely the fastest money on this list. We can run the $120 test alongside it.

Also quick ones if we have time

6. The phone assistant: can we start the number transfer this week?
To have an assistant answer the calls nobody picks up, the number has to move to a service that allows it. That move takes about three weeks and cannot be rushed, so the clock starts the day you say go. Two small things needed: whose name the 424 number is registered under, and a copy of the IRS letter showing DTAG's exact legal name.
This is the one that gates the adverts. Adverts make the phone ring, so the phone has to be answered first.
Who answers 424-946-8057 today, and what hours? Who picks up texts and Facebook messages?
Which address is the current one, 13547 Ventura Ste 171 or 13636 Ventura Ste 292?
Both are showing in different places, and we need one for the Google listing.
Where did the Mailchimp contact list originally come from?
Is the licence renewal in hand? · Could we get 10 to 15 photos of finished jobs?

What we found checking everything before spending your money

1. Facebook cannot yet see which visitors turn into enquiries
Facebook needs a small piece of code on your site to learn who becomes a real customer. It is not there yet, so Facebook could only go looking for people who click, and clicking is not buying. Your last spend shows exactly that: 195 clicks, $64.01, and no enquiries.
Fixing it means Facebook hunts for customers instead of clickers, which is where the money is.
2. The picture that should show when your link is shared is missing
When your advert or page appears in someone's feed, there should be a photo with it. The file it points at was never created, so it shows up blank.
A proper image gets noticeably more people to stop and click.
3. The improved version of your site is built but not yet published
We have corrections ready, including one where the form could tell someone "we got it" without actually saving them. Until we publish, visitors still see the older version. That is on us and it goes live this week.
Nobody falls through the gap between what the page promises and what it does.
4. We want to prove the new-lead email actually reaches you
Email is the only way you currently hear about a lead. We can see the alerts arriving on our side, but we have no proof one has landed with you. Question 4 settles it live, and we will add a second recipient so it never rests on one inbox.
No enquiry can arrive without somebody being told.
5. A missed phone call currently leaves no record anywhere
If somebody rings and nobody picks up, nothing writes down that they called. No name, no number, nothing to ring back. Your phone number is the main button on the site, and calls rise as fast as advert spend does.
Two steps. Ten minutes with Fallon makes missed calls countable this week. The phone assistant that actually answers them needs the number transfer started, about three weeks.

On us nothing needed from you

Publish the corrected site
Tighten the wording on the law across the pages
Some pages state the inspection deadline without the exception for newer buildings. We are correcting all of it.
Add a privacy page
Facebook will not run lead adverts without one.
Install the Facebook tracking, both sides
Proper share image and error page
Instant "we have got your request" reply to every enquiry
Catch missed calls, and flag any alert email that fails
Put spend, cost per enquiry and cost per job on your dashboard
So you can see whether the advertising paid for itself.
